About The Position

We believe that to truly understand the world and grow in intelligence, humanoid robots must live and learn alongside us. That’s why we’re focused on developing friendly home robots designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday life. As the Full Stack Engineer, you will own the design and execution of all software connecting the physical and digital layers of 1X’s global robot operations. From deployment tooling and fleet management to customer interfaces and internal operations platforms, your mission is to create systems that scale seamlessly from hundreds to tens of thousands of robots.

Requirements

  • True full-stack engineer who cannot be boxed into "frontend only."
  • Deep experience with React. We are also open to experts in Vue or those who have mastered "niche" tools like Svelte or htmx.
  • Proven track record of taking projects from 0 to 100 with minimal oversight.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, cloud architecture, and real-time data pipelines.
  • Ability to debug complex systems, dive into production code, and make data-driven technical decisions.

  • Frontend expert who spends weekends in Rust

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and implementation of all operational and customer-facing software systems, with a specific focus on high-performance React frontends.
  • Design scalable backends (Node.js/Postgres) to support real-time control, data pipelines, and monitoring for global robot fleets.
  • Build internal platforms that support logistics, manufacturing, and service operations, bridging the gap between raw hardware data and human-usable interfaces.
  • Lead development of customer-facing apps for robot control, monitoring, and management, ensuring a seamless 0-to-100 product lifecycle.
