About The Position

5Blue Software is seeking a Full-Stack Developer for a part-time project with an Israeli client. The project uses AI to analyse events in video. The developer will work alongside the client’s technical lead on the same codebase, with tasks clearly divided between them. The engagement is remote and is expected to involve around 300 hours over approximately 12 weeks, possibly less. Reasonable overlap with Israel working hours (UTC+2) is required; weekly hours and the start date will be agreed.

The developer will build and deliver features end to end with Django on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend, integrate AI capabilities for video and event analysis, clarify requirements directly with the client, and own assigned tasks through implementation and testing. They are also expected to communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience.
• 2–3 or more years of commercial experience with Django.
• Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js.
• Practical experience integrating AI into real products.
• Proven ability to work independently and deliver results.
• Excellent spoken and written English (B2+), and confidence working directly with the client.
• Reliable part-time availability for the entire engagement.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with video processing or computer vision, such as OpenCV, YOLO, or FFmpeg.
• Experience with event detection or video analytics systems.
• Previous freelance or part-time project experience with international clients.

Responsibilities
