About The Position

Corpay is hiring a Software Developer for its Corpay Complete division within the Corpay Payables line of business, based in Elk Grove, California. The role covers the product development cycle, from product design and implementation through deployment. The software environment includes Java, Ruby on Rails, AngularJS, ReactJS, mobile apps for Android and iOS, and platforms including AWS, Heroku, and other cloud services. The developer will work closely with senior developers to improve software reliability and collaborate regularly with development teams. The position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a related field.
• A BA/BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Human-Computer Interaction, or comparable relevant experience.
• Hands-on software development experience.
• Experience documenting technical specifications and requirements.
• Ability to multitask and work in a nimble, fast-paced development environment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team and meet aggressive goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop software using one or more of the following technologies: AngularJS, ReactJS, Java, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Redis, and RESTful APIs.
• Estimate development effort and timelines.
• Participate in code reviews and testing.
• Assist with troubleshooting tickets and ad hoc requests.
• Deliver clear and complete technical specification documents.
