About The Position

Aikido is hiring a Full Stack Developer to work closely with its Noon team, building an early-stage workforce security product. Noon protects people from AI-powered attacks such as phishing, malware, and deepfakes, bringing together email protection, device protection, AI governance, attack simulations, and training in one platform. The developer will help build the product’s core using TypeScript, Node.js (Fastify), React, and PostgreSQL.

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong problem-solving ability, with the capacity to learn quickly and adapt.
• Comfortable with Node.js, TypeScript, and React.
• SQL experience; deep PostgreSQL expertise is not required.
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
• Fluent in English.
• Able to work from the company’s offices in Ghent, Warsaw, or Chicago.
• Medior-to-senior experience; the company seeks people able to contribute quickly.

Nice To Haves

• Willingness to learn new languages as product needs arise; Rust or Go experience is a bonus.
• Technical knowledge of email, EDR, or malware.
• Comfort researching and tackling difficult problems and algorithms, such as parsing.
• Willingness to experiment and, when appropriate, discard code.

Responsibilities

• Write modular, testable, and efficient code using TypeScript, Node.js (Fastify), and React.
• Build and maintain APIs and data models on PostgreSQL.
• Design and implement high-availability applications.
• Discover, plan, write, document, and maintain new features.
• Apply fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
• Work with asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
• Optimize product code for speed where required.
• Contribute to architectural and other impactful decisions.
