About The Position

CFD Research has a need for qualified Full Stack Software Developers to support an intelligence customer in developing applications and microservices using data, both locally stored as well as in the cloud. Experience with container-native workflow engine experience is also desired. The engineers in these roles will work primarily remote but still needs to be within close proximity to Dayton, Ohio, to attend customer site visits. Candidates in the role will work with a diverse set of developers, to deliver strong, stable, and well tested/documented software for the intelligence community. The candidate will be intimately involved in the design, architecture, and development testing steps of the development process. Successful candidates in this role will utilize best practices to produce high performing, scalable, and secure modules while demonstrating a customer/end user focus. Candidate will have the opportunity to shape future tasks developing user stories and tasks from Epics. Successful candidates will have Agile, DevOps experience, and an understanding of cloud environments in order to work collaboratively with other developers, government customers, and contractors.

Requirements

  • US Citizen and have an active TS/SCI
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or similar discipline)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Angular, Docker, GitFlow, Gitlab, HTML/CSS, Javascript, Jira, Node.js, Keycloak, Kubernetes, Linters, SonarQube, Trivy, ReactJS and other JS based frameworks
  • Three or more years of experience in Microservice design

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree
  • Three or more years of experience developing web applications using Python, C++, Javascript, and/or database (graph, relational, or noSQL) experience
  • Three or more years of experience as a DevOps Software Engineer working with CI/CD pipelines, build, test, and deployment tools
  • Experience with Platform One, Cloud One, GCP, AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms
  • Development experience with a container-native workflow engine for orchestrating parallel jobs on Kubernetes.
