About The Position
Our client, a leading Canadian P&C insurance provider, is seeking a Full-Stack Developer to join their AI-focused Software Development team. This team is responsible for transforming cutting-edge AI/LLM concepts into scalable, production-grade enterprise applications within the claims and fraud domains. You will work within a cross-functional squad alongside data scientists, data engineers, DevOps, and business analysts, owning end-to-end delivery across the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- 6+ years of full-stack development experience, with a strong backend focus
- Advanced Python development experience building production-grade applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS, including: Terraform / infrastructure-as-code, Cloud-native architecture
- Experience working within CI/CD environments
- Proven experience collaborating with DevOps teams
- Must pass a credit check (minimum score of 650)
- Certifications must be up to date
Nice To Haves
- Backend experience with Java
- Frontend exposure to Angular and/or React
- Data engineering familiarity: SQL, Databricks, data ingestion pipelines
- Understanding of GenAI concepts, including: Prompting techniques, agentic frameworks, RAG, embeddings/vector databases, Model evaluation, guardrails, fine-tuning
- Industry experience in insurance or financial services
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade full-stack applications, with a strong emphasis on backend development (80%)
- Build and scale Python-based backend services in enterprise environments
- Collaborate closely with data scientists to operationalize AI/LLM concepts into real-world applications
- Contribute to cloud-native development on AWS, leveraging infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable releases
- Partner with DevOps to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable application infrastructure
- Participate in the full software delivery lifecycle, from design through deployment and support
Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $85.00/hr.
