About The Position

Ignite IT is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to support the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in developing and modernizing enterprise applications that improve operational efficiency and support critical business functions. In this role, you'll join a collaborative Agile engineering team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable cloud-native applications. You'll work alongside software engineers, architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver modern software solutions that improve enterprise systems and user experiences. Requirements

U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to obtain and maintain a CBP Public Trust.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
7+ years of professional software development experience.
Experience developing applications within Linux containerized environments.
Demonstrated experience with: Python, Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, PostgreSQL, AWS, Microservices Architecture.
Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
Strong understanding of Angular development, including Angular Material, component architecture, state management, and UI performance optimization.
Experience developing and maintaining Python applications, backend services, APIs, or automation in enterprise environments.
Experience integrating Angular frontends with Spring Boot microservices.
Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA).
Experience creating reusable libraries and responsive user interfaces.
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and software engineering best practices.
Experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows.
Working knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, requirements management, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration management, and release management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications supporting both legacy modernization and new development initiatives.
Build scalable backend services using Python, Java, and Spring Boot.
Develop responsive, modern user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, Angular Material, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Design and consume RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture.
Develop applications within Linux containerized environments.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, testing, demonstrations, and production releases.
Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, stakeholders, and end users throughout the software development lifecycle.
Enhance existing applications through performance optimization, feature enhancements, and technical modernization.
Develop reusable libraries, components, and services that improve maintainability and scalability.
Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices across the team.
Analyze complex technical problems and develop innovative, scalable solutions.
Help ensure software quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
Continuously evaluate and adopt modern development tools, frameworks, and best practices.
