About The Position

Build modern applications that power mission success. NS2 Mission is seeking a Full Stack Software Developer to support a project in Chantilly, VA. In this role, you'll collaborate with a lead developer to enhance and maintain mission-critical applications, contributing across the full software development lifecycle—from backend services and APIs to modern, responsive user interfaces. Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience developing applications with Python.
  • Hands-on experience with one or more Python web frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
  • Experience developing unit and integration tests for software applications.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including familiarity with SQLAlchemy or other ORM technologies.
  • Experience developing front-end applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, and CSS.
  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
  • Experience building, deploying, and supporting containerized applications in AWS cloud environments.
  • TS/SCI with an FSP clearance requirement.
  • U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain full-stack software applications supporting mission objectives.
  • Collaborate with the lead developer to design, implement, and enhance application functionality.
  • Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and modern web frameworks.
  • Build and maintain responsive user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
  • Integrate applications with databases, APIs, and external software systems.
  • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure application quality and reliability.
  • Deploy and support containerized applications within AWS cloud environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and Agile development activities to continuously improve software quality and performance.
