About The Position

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to support the development and enhancement of a collaboration software platform built on Drupal and other open-source technologies. The platform has multiple deployments that provide capabilities across a broad range of government missions. The role works directly with users and customer leadership to understand operational needs, capture and validate requirements, influence architecture and design decisions, and demonstrate new capabilities. The developer joins an established team of developers and system support professionals, collaborating with senior technical peers, mentoring junior developers, and improving development processes, build pipelines, automated testing, and the engineering environment. This position requires an active or existing TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and has no remote-work option. The hybrid schedule requires approximately 2–3 days on-site per week. Seating is available in Annapolis Junction, Maryland; Washington, DC; or Reston, Virginia. The position may be filled at different labor category levels based on the candidate's qualifications and applicable contract requirements. Final compensation within the posted range is determined based on the applicable labor category and factors such as education, relevant experience, certifications, and other required qualifications. No specific salary figures are provided.

Requirements

U.S. citizenship.
Eligibility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph; the posting also states that an active/existing TS/SCI with polygraph is required.
Experience with frontend development using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Proficiency developing secure, reliable web applications hosted on Linux servers.
Experience working with relational database systems such as PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of and hands-on experience with Git workflows, continuous integration, and DevOps practices.
Nine years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a closely related field with comparable scope and responsibilities. A bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience; a master's degree may substitute for six years of experience.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
Experience developing PHP-based web applications.
Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React.
Experience working with NoSQL or document-oriented databases, including Elasticsearch.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance a collaboration software platform using Drupal and other open-source technologies.
Support multiple deployments of the platform across different mission environments.
Work with users and customer leadership to gather requirements, understand operational needs, and validate proposed functionality.
Participate in system architecture and design discussions and provide technical recommendations.
Design, develop, and maintain secure and reliable web applications.
Develop frontend application functionality using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Support web applications deployed on Linux-based servers.
Work with relational database systems, including PostgreSQL.
Participate in source code management, continuous integration, and DevOps workflows.
Demonstrate new functionality and enhancements to users and customer stakeholders.
Collaborate with developers, engineers, and system support personnel to troubleshoot issues and improve platform performance.
Assist and mentor junior developers while learning from experienced technical team members.
Identify and implement improvements to development environments, build pipelines, automated testing, and software delivery processes.
