About The Position

Aperio Global has an immediate need for an experienced Full Stack Developer to support a mission-critical program at a customer site in McLean, VA. In this role, you’ll help build and sustain a web-based application that ingests, archives, retrieves, and disseminates data to users who depend on timely, reliable information to execute their mission. Your work will directly support national security by enabling systems that deliver insight when it matters most. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in building reliable, intuitive applications that serve real operators and analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong experience with JavaScript (Hono.js) and Python (FastAPI)
  • Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript (Vue.js) and Tailwind CSS
  • Experience with DevOps tools and infrastructure, including CDKTF/Terraform
  • Experience with relational database design and SQL query workflows
  • Active/current TS/SCI with required polygraph
  • Willingness to work onsite full time

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building chat interfaces and integrating LLMs via API
  • Experience working with Docker containers for development (Podman)
  • Experience working in AWS cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Git for source control

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs into clear, well-documented application requirements, partnering closely with the product manager to ensure scope alignment
  • Design and implement new application features using Python, Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting, across both front-end and back-end components
  • Develop and manage backend databases supporting data ingest, storage, and retrieval workflows
  • Collaborate with front-end and back-end engineers to ensure technical requirements are met across the overall application architecture
  • Work with UI/UX experts and mission users to build intuitive, effective, and user-driven interfaces
  • Participate in daily Scrum meetings to align on priorities, identify blockers, and drive progress
  • Test and validate application features to ensure functionality meets mission and customer requirements
  • Demonstrate completed software deliverables to the product manager and team at the end of each sprint
