About The Position

BAM is seeking a full stack software developer to design, develop, and maintain web- and mobile-based software applications. The role involves delivering high-quality, performant experiences and building reliable solutions using C# and .NET Core, JavaScript frameworks, databases, and AWS services. The developer will work with technical colleagues and stakeholders in an agile environment, contribute to code reviews and CI/CD practices, investigate software issues, and maintain technical documentation. The position is fully remote. BAM will consider candidates who do not meet every listed qualification if they have sufficient experience and talent.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
At least 7 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in C# and .NET Core and understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks, custom JavaScript using popular libraries, and advanced web technologies and techniques.
Experience with database design, data modeling, SQL, and database administration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience integrating cloud services into software solutions.
Experience with microservice and modular architecture and an in-depth understanding of RESTful development, API design, and reusability.
Understanding of UX design and ability to map business process workflows.
Hands-on Angular development in an enterprise implementation.
Understanding of user-centric design software tools.
Database design and enterprise data modeling with PostgreSQL.
Knowledge of RESTful patterns and API endpoints.
Experience with AWS services for cloud computing.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Enterprise experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Involvement in agile work environments.
Ability to identify and use standard software design patterns.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote organization using collaboration tools.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on OutSystems development in an enterprise implementation.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC and Kendo UI.
Hands-on use of TypeScript.
Experience with GitHub.
CI/CD pipeline setup and management.
Experience with AWS DynamoDB.
Knowledge of OpenSearch (Elasticsearch) for search and analytics.
Familiarity with Large Scale Scrum agile practices for software delivery.
Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, performant web experiences using strong software development fundamentals and knowledge of the web stack.
Develop, test, and maintain efficient, well-designed code using C# and .NET Core best practices.
Design and maintain relational and NoSQL database objects using MS SQL, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL, and optimize queries.
Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services.
Use Git for version control and team collaboration.
Analyze customer and system requirements and identify suitable solutions.
Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Communicate consistently with colleagues and collaborate with technical personnel and team members.
Follow development processes and conduct code reviews to maintain quality and consistency.
Investigate and resolve complex software issues and bugs.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and make recommendations.
Participate in agile ceremonies and interface with stakeholders.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API documentation, and coding standards.
Provide and receive guidance and mentorship, including supporting junior developers.
Contribute to a fast-paced agile delivery environment and proactively assume additional responsibilities as needed.
Work independently in a fully remote organization while using collaboration tools and maintaining engagement.
