About The Position

MaintainX is seeking Full Stack Developers to join their IAM (Identity and Access Management) team within the Engineering Organization. This role has openings at Intermediate and Senior levels. The Identity team is responsible for building systems that ensure secure and seamless access across the MaintainX platform. They design and operate authentication, authorization, and governance services that scale with enterprise customers, maintaining a frictionless and trusted user experience. The developers will work across the stack, including TypeScript, React, React Native, Node.js, C#, and GraphQL, focusing on web and mobile applications. They will collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to build and optimize product features for user collaboration, own team features or systems, and mentor other engineers. The role involves improving engineering standards, tooling, and processes, and bringing best practices in planning, developing, testing, and deploying industry-compliant code. On-call duties are also expected.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in full-stack software development.
• Strong programming skills in C# and/or TypeScript, with experience building production-grade applications.
• Familiarity with React and Node.js.
• Understanding of modern web authentication patterns.
• Interest in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including authentication, authorization, user provisioning, and permissions systems.
• Experience designing and consuming REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency in writing understandable, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a cross-functional environment.
• Expert level of English, both spoken and written.

Nice To Haves

• Experience integrating with SSO protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, or SAML.
• Hands-on experience with Okta, Azure AD, or similar identity providers.
• Exposure to SCIM or other user provisioning standards.
• Understanding of token-based authentication (JWT, PKCE, token exchange).
• Knowledge of encryption standards, SSL/TLS, or public/private key infrastructure.
• Experience with React Native applications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with observability practices and tools such as Datadog.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and service deployment practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance IAM features, including implementing and maintaining authentication, authorization, and user management services across MaintainX for both frontend and backend systems.
• Contribute to scalable IAM systems by building and optimizing core services for user authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to design intuitive identity experiences for seamless enterprise access.
• Deliver high-quality, maintainable code in C# and TypeScript for backend and frontend components.
• Contribute to and maintain clear, self-serve technical documentation for IAM services.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and drive the long-term reliability and performance of IAM services.
• Build, maintain, and optimize product features focused on user collaboration.
• Actively own team features or systems and define their long-term health, while also improving the health of surrounding systems.
• Mentor other engineers and conduct deep code reviews.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes, and implement best practices in planning, development, testing, and deployment of industry-compliant code.
• Perform on-call duties.
