About The Position

Chris Collins Inc. is seeking a Full Stack Developer/Engineer to build a new SaaS platform from scratch. This platform will address a gap in the automotive dealership industry by integrating data from various client systems (DMS, CRM, inventory tools) to identify performance issues. The role involves owning the project, designing the architecture, building data ingestion pipelines, normalizing data, developing a reporting layer for actionable insights, and collaborating with the team and early clients. This is an opportunity for significant ownership and impact in an early-stage venture.

Requirements

Built a SaaS product before, ideally from zero
Comfortable owning both the front end and back end
Real experience building and maintaining third-party API integrations
Understand data ETL pipelines, schema design, and how to make sense of messy inputs from multiple sources
Can talk to a client not just engineers. When something needs explaining, you can explain it

Nice To Haves

Direct DMS integration experience
Automotive industry experience is a strong plus if you’ve worked with a DMS (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealer Socket, or similar)
Background in automotive retail or dealer group operations
Experience building analytics or business intelligence tools
Familiarity with multi-source data reconciliation

Responsibilities

Design and build the platform architecture from the ground up; multi-tenant, scalable, built to last
Build data ingestion pipelines that pull from third-party APIs already embedded in dealership operations
Normalize and map disparate data sets against each other to identify meaningful performance trends
Develop the reporting layer that translates raw data into clear, actionable insights for dealership clients
Work directly with our team and early clients to validate what you’re building as you build it
Make architecture decisions; you’ll have real ownership here
