About The Position
Ericsson is a large company, but our team is small, empowered and entrepreneurial. Each of us is involved in multiple aspects of software development; from design to coding to test automation. We own the technology direction for our software & chose our development tools. We define & evolve our ways of working in development. We are nimble and quickly implement our user’s prioritized functionality. Our software simplifies and automates tasks related to the cloud infrastructure and data center hardware domains. It is used internally by solution architects and pre-sales engineers within Ericsson to design data center HW solutions for our customers. This person will play a key role in the development and successful launch of our next generation software which is using REACT and node.js technologies. The impacts will be the simplification of the workflow for hundreds of people in Ericsson and a major reduction in lead times for our customers.
Requirements
- Working towards a Bachelors or Masters degree in artificial intelligence/machine learning, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and also in software development
- Experience developing Web applications using the JavaScript or Typescript programming language.
- Experience with the REACT front-end library and/or node.js back-end framework.
- Previous exposure to feature test automation frameworks (such as Cypress, Selenium or similar).
- Knowledge of Linux, including shell scripting
- Have strong background in software algorithmics,
- Be a great team player,
- Be solutions oriented and autonomous,
- Be passionate about software development as demonstrated through extra-curricular activities (hackathons, software competitions, large personal projects, etc…)
- Bilingual French and English is required for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Some development experience with relational databases (for example MySQL) is also a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Requirement specifications and implementation discussions,
- Design and coding of either front-end or back-end functionality along with writing associated unit test cases,
- Software development related to the automated feature test cases using Cypress framework,
- Joining project status & prioritization discussions.
