Full Stack AI Engineer

LyntonDenver, CO

About The Position

Lynton is seeking a Full Stack AI Engineer to build production websites and open-source infrastructure for mid-market companies transitioning from legacy SaaS platforms. This role involves end-to-end development, from architecture to deployment, utilizing a modern open-source stack with AI tooling as the default workflow. Responsibilities include building full-stack products, interactive web experiences, and applications that define a client's new brand identity, integrating deterministic and autonomous AI agents into client infrastructure. The engineer will also compose marketing and tech stacks using best-in-class open-source projects for analytics, email, automation, and CRM. The role requires making design and UX decisions within established brand systems, with a strong emphasis on front-end instincts. AI tooling is a baseline requirement, not a bonus skill. The founder sets the technical and creative direction, while the engineer owns execution and helps shape the company's delivery as it grows.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years full-stack experience in TypeScript / JavaScript
  • Comfortable with React, Next.js, Astro, or similar modern frameworks
  • Experience with Node.js APIs, REST integrations, and at least one database (Postgres, MongoDB, or equivalent)
  • You build with AI coding tools every day. Cursor, Claude Code, Aider, or similar.
  • Strong eye for front-end craft: whitespace, type hierarchy, visual rhythm. It shows in your work
  • You can own a project end-to-end without waiting for a spec
  • You've deployed to Docker-based hosting or managed platforms
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. We're writing the playbook, not handing you one

Nice To Haves

  • Headless CMS platforms (Payload, Sanity, Contentful, Strapi)
  • AI agent frameworks (OpenClaw, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen)
  • Open-weight LLMs (Llama, DeepSeek, Qwen, Gemma)
  • MCP servers and agent orchestration

Responsibilities

  • Build client websites on Astro, Next.js, and React, architecture through deployment
  • Deploy open-source infrastructure for clients: CRM, analytics, email, automation, connected through a shared data layer
  • Make front-end design decisions within brand systems: typography, layout, responsive behavior, interaction patterns
  • Work with AI coding agents daily (Cursor, Claude Code, Aider). This is how we build, not something we're evaluating
  • Build and extend AI agent workflows for internal tooling and client delivery
  • Migrate legacy CMS clients to modern frameworks without losing data, SEO rankings, or operational continuity
  • Scope and estimate projects alongside the consulting team
