About The Position

The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Full Professor in landscape evolution. We encourage applications from candidates who apply a diverse skill set to study landscape evolution in different environments. Specifically, we seek a colleague with expertise in sedimentology and geochemistry who considers field observations, remote sensing, and lab-based analytical techniques to charaterise and interpret records of landscape evolution.

Requirements

  • PhD in Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
  • Postdoctoral experience
  • Excellent didactic skills are an asset
  • Excellent communication skills in either English or French.
  • Passive knowledge of one’s second official language (French or English) is a requirement for tenure.

Nice To Haves

  • English-French bilingualism is an asset.

Responsibilities
