PlayCV is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of Castro Valley students by providing high-quality afterschool programs rooted in joyful play, hands-on learning, and whole-child development. We partner with nine elementary schools and two middle schools in the Castro Valley Unified School District to deliver meaningful enrichment experiences that include arts, science, music, STEM, recreation, social-emotional learning, and academic support. Our programs support students in building confidence, exploring creativity, strengthening social skills, and forming meaningful relationships. We create safe, inclusive spaces where students feel welcomed, valued, and connected. Our work is guided by our Community Agreements, which shape how we show up for students, families, school partners, and each other. About The Full PLAY (TFP) Program The Full PLAY (TFP) Program operates from the last bell of the school day until 6:00 p.m. Students check in, receive a snack, and rotate through enrichment classes, homework support, outdoor play, STEAM activities, and social engagement opportunities. Job Summary The Team Coach is a key leader in PlayCV’s program operations, responsible for overseeing multiple TFP program sites and developing strong site teams that deliver safe, engaging, and high-quality experiences for students and families. The Team Coach directly supervises Team Captains and supports site teams, including TK/Kindergarten Leads and TFP Instructors, through coaching, staff development, operational oversight, and ongoing communication. This role ensures program quality across locations, builds strong relationships with school partners, supports curriculum implementation, and leads continuous improvement efforts that enhance the student experience. The Team Coach must be flexible and responsive to changing program and staffing needs, provide on-site support when necessary, and model PlayCV’s Community Agreements, professionalism, integrity, and student-centered decision-making at all times.
