About The Position

Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson is seeking a highly skilled and motivated broadcast producer to join their nationally acclaimed broadcast. Full Measure is a weekly Sunday news program focusing on investigative, original, and accountability reporting, hosted by five-time Emmy Award winner Sharyl Attkisson. The ideal candidate will have experience as a broadcast line producer, possess the technical skills to manage a broadcast, and have experience producing stories/content for a show with high standards for investigative reporting. The position requires strong communication skills, a desire to engage with top-level journalists, and knowledge of multi-platform production to engage audiences. This role is for someone seeking the challenge and reward of making a great broadcast even better.

Requirements

Minimum of three (2) years’ experience producing engaging television newscasts at commercial news operations
Excellent communication skills
Ability to learn to execute news strategies and goals
Flexibility and on-the-spot problem solving abilities are a must
Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems such as iNews
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
Energy and positivity
Ability to take direction and work efficiently during breaking news events
Must work well in a team environment
Must be a self-starter who can generate his or her own story ideas on a daily basis
Ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule is required
Strong skills in journalism, leadership, and creativity

Nice To Haves

Candidates should have experience as a broadcast line producer
Experience producing stories/content for a show with high standards for investigative reporting
Knowledge of multi-platform production to engage audiences at every level

Responsibilities

Contribute story ideas to daily editorial meetings
Oversee coverage in control room during production
Conduct interviews when required via, phone, email, Skype, or other methods
Participate in regular content planning meetings
Post content on assigned digital platforms daily
Oversee the day-to-day production of the program
Work closely with the Executive Producer and Director on the newscast and its content
Contribute content to newscasts and digital platforms
Edit video for stories
Create graphics for newscast
