About The Position

Hood Distribution is a wholesale distributor of hardwood lumber & plywood, wood finishes, stains and solid surfaces as well as related specialty wood products. Our customers include cabinet shops, furniture manufacturers, millwork houses, and other related businesses. We are looking for a Full Line Outside Sales Representative for our Millersburg, OH location, covering Cleveland and Northern, OH. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales and marketing of products to businesses. Experience in wood products (panels, lumber, and moulding), wood finishes, stains, and solid surfaces is a significant advantage.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales and marketing of products to businesses.
  • Ability to develop effective business relationships with customers.
  • Ability to meet customer needs by providing needed products and establishing high quality and customer responsiveness expectations.
  • Ability to coordinate outside sales efforts with inside sales reps.
  • Ability to assure that inside sales force is aware of service, customer, or quality issues that could affect business.
  • Ability to support existing and new customers in receiving credit approvals or resolving accounts receivables questions.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Consent to a background check.
  • Consent to a drug screen.
  • Provide documentation indicating legal right to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Servicing designated markets, generating sales of wood and wood products to wholesale and end-user commercial customers at planned profit margins by developing effective business relationships with customers.
  • Meet customer needs by providing needed products and establishing high quality and customer responsiveness expectations.
  • Coordinate outside sales efforts with inside sales reps.
  • Assure that inside sales force is aware of service, customer, or quality issues that could affect business.
