YMCA at Donelson-Hermitage is Now Hiring for Full Circle Swim Instructor
Position Type: Part-time
Pay Range starts at $14 per hour (or more depending on experience)

Are you passionate about swimming and love teaching others? Dive into an exciting opportunity with the YMCA of Middle TN as a Full Circle Swim Instructor ! You'll make a splash by creating safe, fun, and engaging swim experiences for participants while helping them grow in confidence and skill.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 16
• Ability to swim at an intermediate level (check out our Prerequisite Skills Evaluation)
• Strong communication skills and a passion for helping others
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• CPR Pro/AED/First Aid within 30 days of hire
• Angel Fish Training within 2 weeks of hire

Responsibilities

• Teach swim lessons with enthusiasm, from in the water, using creative and organized lesson plans.
• Ensure safety is the top priority by following all pool and YMCA policies.
• Provide personalized feedback and encouragement to swimmers and communicate progress with parents.
• Build strong relationships with participants and their families, creating a welcoming environment.
• Maintain and organize equipment, complete required documentation, and actively engage in team training sessions.
