About The Position

Spee Dee Delivery is a family-owned and operated company founded in 1978, specializing in standard, next-day, ground delivery. With corporate headquarters in St. Cloud, MN, the company has grown to employ over 1,800 people across the Midwest. The Fulfillment Package Handler will be responsible for distributing materials, supplies, and finished products within the fulfillment center.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Excellent verbal communication skills
Efficient time management skills
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to spend a minimum of 8 hours on your feet
Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight in the warehouse
Ability to work with all types of freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1+ year of experience in distribution or transportation industry preferred

Responsibilities

Load, unload and move palletized freight by hand and with manual and power pallet jacks
Un-palletize and sort freight according to product type and/or destination
Scan barcode labels of packages for tracking and billing purposes
Stack freight onto pallets in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
Secure palletized freight prior to shipment using shrink wrap machines
Assist in the process of picking product according to customer requests
Follow all safety protocols and regulations; report any unsafe acts to management
Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
Perform other required duties as assigned
