The Fulfillment Operations Team Leader role is designed to provide meaningful experiences that help individuals build and develop skills for a career. This role offers experience in guest service fundamentals, building a guest-first culture, retail business fundamentals (including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotions strategies), planning daily/weekly workloads, process improvements, workload efficiency, and leading a team of hourly team members (including interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating, and retaining talent). As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader, you will be responsible for consistently delivering guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring, and Friendly guest experience. You will ensure team members are trained and consistently deliver on Target’s guest experience commitments and operations. This includes actively observing and providing feedback, holding team members accountable, and recognizing great guest experience moments. You will review guest, financial, and team outcome metrics to identify opportunities, take action to improve, and align the team on the right behaviors and execution. You will also demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience, modeling, training, and coaching expectations. You will lead your team to drive fulfillment goals, understanding your role in supporting sales growth and how your departments and team impact total store profitability. Utilizing workload planning tools, you will ensure your team completes all scheduled workload and all orders are fulfilled to meet delivery, freshness, and service standards. You will review fulfillment reporting to identify gaps and develop plans to resolve them, and with direction from your direct leader, create daily plans for your team. You will be an expert of operations, accuracy, process, and efficiency, enabling efficient delivery to guests by leading pickup and ship from store workload. You will evaluate and recommend candidates for open positions and support your direct leader in onboarding. With your direct leader, you will establish clear goals around quality, accuracy, and timeliness, holding team members accountable and closing training gaps through coaching. You will ensure the team follows food safety guidelines and selects fresh food items for guests, and that supplies are ordered and stocked timely. If applicable, as a key carrier, you will follow all safe and secure training and processes. You may occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities. You will demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creating equitable experiences. You will always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance, leading your team to work in the same way and holding others accountable. You will lead and demonstrate a safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors, identifying and correcting hazards, holding the team accountable to following safety expectations, assisting with incident response, and reporting/investigating injuries timely and accurately. You will model the execution of physical security processes and support merchandise protection strategies. You will lead and demonstrate a culture of executing all best practices, helping to close skill gaps through development, coaching, and team interactions. You will address all store emergency and compliance needs and support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive Up (DU), maintaining a compliance culture while executing those duties. Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
