About The Position

This role involves operating material handling equipment, executing daily warehouse activities, and contributing to process improvements and health & safety initiatives. The position is based in a newly opened operation, offering opportunities for growth and involvement in building the facility from the ground up. Requirements

  • Ability to work physically: standing, moving and lifting up to 49 lbs (22kg) in variable temperatures
  • 2+ years experience operating material handling equipment (Reach & Forklift) in a production environment (distribution center, warehouse, factory). Will be tested during interview.
  • Mandatory forklift and reach operator license (proof required)
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in Canada

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a quality control environment an asset
  • Experience in small teams or startups is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Operate material handling equipment (Reach & Forklift) for warehouse maneuvers
  • Execute daily Core & Support activities (Receiving, Picking, Staging, Shipping, Special Orders, Quality Control, Inventory Auditing, etc.) on time & in full
  • Propose & lead various initiatives and process improvements pertaining to all DC activities
  • Enforce best practices in matters of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Take accountability for Core & Support activities and propose action plans when results are not met
  • Other related tasks
