The Fueling Lead Agent transmits supervisor's orders, work assignments and work instructions to a group engaged in fuel system operation and maintenance, aircraft servicing and related functions. Required to possess a thorough familiarity with work functions and the ability to properly transmit information and instructions to others. This is a general list of your responsibilities but is NOT all encompassing. You may be asked to perform additional duties.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must have previous experience in Fueling
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive, multiple shifts, and team-oriented environment
  • Must be dependable and able to take direction from supervisors to service the customer safely and on-time
  • General math aptitude
  • Good command of the English language both verbal and written
  • Must be willing to work in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assigns work, ensures proper utilization of personnel and equipment, imparts current or new occupational knowledge to workers and performs work similar to that assigned to the group being led, for a major portion of time.
  • Operate motorized fueling vehicles (fuel tank trucks, standard and automatic transmissions)
  • Operate non-motorized fueling vehicles (hydrant carts)
  • Fuel and de-fuel aircraft per flight crew/flight plan requirements
  • Inspect fueling equipment and vehicles – report malfunctions or inconsistencies
  • Perform accurate fueling calculations
  • Fuel ground support equipment (gasoline or diesel) as required
  • Interact with carrier personnel
  • Utilize hand-held radios, telephones and computers for communication
  • Complete and submit all documentation associated with fueling activities
  • Respond to fuel emergencies (i.e. fuel spills) utilizing emergency response cart and follow established environmental/company guidelines
  • Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Must safely lift from 35 to over 100 pounds repetitively on a daily basis as an essential function of the job.
