Requirements

Valid driver's license and an acceptable MVR
Must be 21 or older to comply with Federal regulations
Ability to read and speak English as required by Federal Motor Carrier Department
Understand and follow all DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
Knowledge of transportation and safety principles for moving goods by road
Skill to operate, control and monitor vehicle and equipment
Ability to work overtime and alternate schedule/route as needed

Nice To Haves

Experience with moving CMV equipment preferred
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

Check vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in clean and good working order
Check and fill engine levels (fuel, coolant, vacuum pump oil and DEF)
Maintain records of fuel use and mileage
Record information such as weight/volume, mileage, time and fuel and DEF consumption for CMV’s
Report vehicle defects and damage to vehicles
Operate equipment phone to exchange information with supervisors or other points of contact for daily and emergency operations
Maintain fuel pump area
Interact with others in a professional and ethical manner
Follow department and company procedures
Keep up regular attendance and punctuality; regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this company
