About The Position

This position drives a truck equipped with a fuel tank and bulk oils, and maintains the proper level on all equipment assigned to the driver. The role involves conducting all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs. Daily pre/post trip inspections of the assigned vehicle are required to ensure maximum vehicle safety conditions and to check for any damaged or worn parts or signs of tampering. All problems found must be reported to the shop immediately. The driver will operate a fuel truck to predetermined destinations, adhering to commercial driving regulations and knowledge of the area's roads. A truck log must be maintained in accordance with state and federal regulations and company policy. Any issues with traffic or site conditions must be reported promptly. Additionally, the driver will gather information on job site locations and the presence of any light bridges or roads en route to the site. Compliance with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness, and repair, as specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook, is essential. Other job-related duties may be required or assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred or related work experience
  • Must have Hazmat Endorsement
  • Must have Tanker Endorsement
  • 1 -2 yrs Commercial driving experience
  • In compliance with all DOT physical requirements
  • Valid class B Commercial Drivers License is required
  • Skilled in the operation of loading and unloading of fuel and oil from the fuel truck at terminals
  • Valid Driver’s license required
  • Must follow all DOT Regulations
  • Ability to give and receive written or oral instructions
  • Must have ability to work independently
  • Must pass DOT physicals
  • Ability to read maps and follow directions to locations
  • Ability to maintain composure, professionalism in all situations
  • Must be physically able to operate, move about, and maintain the truck
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to change
  • Interact professionally with the public and others in the company while making deliveries
  • Ability to show composure and constraint while driving safely.

  • Gets information on the location of the job site and the locations of any light bridges or roads on the way to the site.
  • Complies with all aspects of truck maintenance, cleanliness and repair in accordance with the guidelines specified in the Truck Driver's Handbook.
  • Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
