The PFSL Section Supervisor has overall responsibility for test engineering and lab operations, including execution, resource, and capital planning activities supporting future test needs spanning from internal combustion engine (ICE) to electrified and battery testing. This role serves as an upstream enabler for safe, timely, and high-quality testing by ensuring appropriate allocation of people, test assets, instrumentation, and facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 5+ years supporting Ford Engineering or comparable technical organizations.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role within a test lab or operational environment.
  • High Voltage Safety Training Level 1 (Level 2 preferred).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with vibration, airflow, and fuel testing (component and sub-system).
  • Experience with electrified powertrain or battery testing.
  • Capital project management experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through high workload variability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead 24x7 laboratory operations to meet internal customer demand.
  • Ensure execution of gating milestone, plant shutdown, warranty, and high-priority program testing.
  • Balance cycle-plan and non-cycle-plan workload in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, and labor utilization while minimizing overtime and outsourcing.
  • Deliver capital projects and lab transformation initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Champion safety, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Program Teams, D&R, Purchasing, IT, Finance, and Ford Land.
