About The Position

Safeway Fuel Station Manager employees are generally responsible for completing job duties related to the operation of a fuel station, including customer service, inventory management, receiving deliveries, maintaining cleanliness and safety, and potentially pumping gasoline for customers. This role also involves managing the fuel station and supervising Fuel Station Clerks. The position is considered safety-sensitive, meaning job responsibilities include tasks that could affect the safety or health of the employee or others.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of policies for operating Fuel Stations, such as hours of operation, workers required and their duties, and scope of operations.
Changes signs and prices as directed by merchandising.
Inventories stock daily. Writes fuel station order. Checks for completeness of order upon arrival.
Receives gas deliveries as needed. Records fuel deliveries on Fuel Delivery sheet.
Maintains cleanliness of fuel station area.
Performs daily safety inspections of tanks and pumps, checking gaskets, cover lock, etc.
May pump gasoline for customers.
Transports absorbent material to drive up area to absorb and clean spills as needed.
Restocks windshield washer fluid in pump side containers as needed.
Rotates product and removes out of date product as needed.
May pick up products in grocery store as needed and transport to Fuel Station area.
Manages Fuel Station.
Other duties as assigned.
