About The Position

WEIS is looking for a Fuel Sales Associate who is passionate about teamwork and the growth of its associates and communities. This role involves assisting customers with fuel transactions, operating the cash register, managing inventory, and ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

Requirements

Completed or working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Assists customers with pay-at-the-pump transactions and may help fill vehicles with fuel.
Operates cash register and performs checkout procedures, including providing receipts and bagging merchandise.
Maintains receipt tapes in dispensers.
Responsible for inventory of fuel, vehicle accessories, and other products.
Responsible for all funds collected, including cash, checks, debit, and credit slips.
Maintains proper security measures and cash drawer accounting procedures.
May interact with the gas station POS vendor to correct system problems.
Helps set up displays or promotional materials.
Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns politely and professionally.
Follows company policies for customer checkout to increase satisfaction.
Keeps informed of weekly ads or specials.
May distribute customer coupons.
Responsible for general sanitation in the department, following cleaning schedules and guidelines.
Disposes of trash properly.
Remains alert to safety issues, particularly slip and fall hazards and dangers around combustibles.
Ensures smooth function of the department and store by cooperating with co-workers and supervisors.
Continuously improves job performance.
Utilizes all company-provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE).
Performs other staff duties as required.
May assist in other departments.
