About The Position

Manage fuel process engineering section and ensure the process engineering services are performed in a cost-effective manner and that priorities are established in accordance with regulatory and customer contract requirements.

Requirements

  • B. S. -- Engineering required
  • DOE Q Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Q Clearance is required.
  • Over fifteen years' engineering experience; preferably in support of DOE Category 1 or 2 nuclear facility support.

Nice To Haves

  • M. S. or M. B. A. preferred

Responsibilities

  • Direct the work of process engineers assigned to this section to accomplish the objectives of the annual operating plan.
  • Provide recommendations and justification for the sub-department capital budget.
  • Provide process parameters and material balance flow sheets for capital projects in this area of responsibility.
  • Review and recommend approval of proposals for process and equipment improvements prepared by subordinates.
  • Review and evaluate the technical requirements of customer inquiries and recommend modifications in keeping with NFs capabilities and policies.
  • Review and approve procedures prepared by subordinates and ensure all regulatory and customer contract requirements are met.
