About The Position
Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. (ESS) is a 100% employee-owned multi-faceted contractor focused on delivering complex heavy civil projects through innovative infrastructure solutions. Our growing team of employee-owners are experts in grading, excavation, underground utilities, bridge construction, asphalt paving, concrete paving, and pavement preservation. We are seeking a Fuel & Lube Tech Assistant to support our operations by assisting with fueling, greasing, and basic fluid services on heavy construction equipment.
Requirements
- Must have a Class A or B CDL w/Hazmat endorsement
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions
- Willingness to travel and work early mornings or extended hours
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR check
Nice To Haves
- Experience working around heavy equipment or in a construction environment
- Mechanical aptitude or prior shop/fleet support experience
Responsibilities
- Assist with fueling, greasing, and basic fluid services on heavy construction equipment
- Support equipment inspections and report any visible leaks or service concerns
- Help maintain inventory of oils, filters, and lubricants on the service truck
- Keep equipment and service areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
- Follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times
- Complete and submit basic service documentation as required
- Travel to job sites as directed and assist with daily fueling schedules
