About The Position
The Fuel Handler / Reactor Services Technician is responsible for the design, function, and operation of systems used to handle, store, cool, and monitor nuclear fuel, as well as auxiliary support systems. This is an onsite contract position in Oconee, South Carolina, reporting to the Reactor Services Supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in reactor operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of reactor physics, thermodynamics, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for reactor safety.
- Certification in reactor operation or maintenance, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on reactors to ensure performance and safety.
- Conduct diagnostic tests to identify reactor issues.
- Collaborate with engineers to design and implement modifications to reactor systems.
- Develop and implement procedures for reactor operation and maintenance.
- Provide technical support and training to reactor operators and other personnel.
