The role of the Fuel Farm Operator is to be responsible for sampling and testing products for quality control, and performing inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems and fueling vehicles. The Fuel Farm Operator receives/dispatches jet fuel, gasoline, diesel fuel, avgas and glycol via pipelines and trucks. They sample and test products for quality control and performance, and conduct inspections and basic maintenance on facilities, fuel systems, and fueling vehicles. This role also supports Quality Control Technicians with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical reports and preventative maintenance of equipment at fuel storage facilities/systems, including related equipment on fueling vehicles. The operator performs routine and periodic inspections in compliance with company, customer, government, and industry standards, and transfers product while monitoring storage tanks, pipelines, and related equipment to ensure they are in good working order to prevent spills, releases, overfills, and product contamination. All work is conducted in a safe manner adhering to all company, customer, industry, local, state, and federal safe work policies/procedures. The operator makes required log entries of fuel transactions, quality control, and maintenance, and assures adherence to safety policies and procedures, while meeting company attendance and code of conduct standards.
