About The Position

The Fuel Driver role at Delta Western supports safe and efficient fuel delivery to customers through dock and/or truck operations. The position combines dock duties and/or truck driving responsibilities to meet customer fueling needs. The preferred ability to pull a pup trailer is noted.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Class B or Class A CDL with X endorsement.
Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
Two years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience is preferred.
If the CDL with all endorsements was recently obtained, the company is willing to provide entry-level driver training experience.

Nice To Haves

Ability to pull a pup trailer.
Two years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience.
TWIC, Hazmat, and Hazwoper credentials; these can be acquired after hire.
Forklift Certificate; this can be acquired after hire.

Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide safe fueling services for vessels while following proper fueling protocols.
Prepare and deliver packaged products and oil lubricants to customers, accurately completing purchase order requests.
Deploy boom as necessary and maintain a clean, organized dock and yard.
Complete meter sheets and invoices and submit them to the office promptly.
Inspect hoses and equipment daily for damage and ensure equipment is in optimal condition.
Safely and promptly deliver fuel to home heating customers, commercial customers, and other locations.
Accurately complete invoices and submit them to the office daily.
Communicate unsafe conditions or concerns to supervisors.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checks of vehicle components and fluids.
Clean trucks and facilities as needed to maintain a professional appearance.
Assist with inventory, warehouse tasks, and ground maintenance.
Participate in safety meetings; promptly report injuries, spills, and property damage; and identify and communicate potential job hazards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
