FUEL DESK CASHIER As a Fuel Desk Cashier, you’ll be one of the first faces our guests see when they visit Coffee Cup Travel Plazas. You’ll provide friendly, efficient service while operating the cash register, assisting guests with purchases and questions, and helping keep the store and fuel area clean, stocked, and ready for business. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You should enjoy working with people, work well as part of a team, and take pride in providing a great guest experience.

Requirements

Ability to provide a high level of guest service in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work effectively with the public and interact professionally with a diverse group of guests and team members.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling cash and processing transactions.
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with stocking, cleaning, and maintaining the store.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift as required to perform the essential functions of the position.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
Dependable, responsible, and willing to learn.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail, cashier, convenience store, or customer service experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet every guest with a friendly attitude and a smile while providing prompt, professional service.
Provide excellent guest service to travelers, professional drivers, and members of the local community.
Practice suggestive selling by recommending products, promotions, and services when appropriate.
Accurately operate the cash register and process cash, credit/debit cards, and other forms of payment according to company procedures.
Operate the lottery/lotto terminal in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Follow all applicable city, county, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol and tobacco sales.
Maintain knowledge of products, services, promotions, and pricing throughout the store.
Stock and organize merchandise on shelves, racks, coolers, and other designated areas.
Maintain clean and organized checkout, sales floor, cooler, and fuel desk areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms regularly.
Clean and maintain windows, doors, and cooler doors.
Empty trash from inside the store and throughout the fuel and parking areas.
Change fountain drink syrup boxes and assist with maintaining fountain drink areas.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and management.
Understand and follow both written and verbal instructions.
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.
Work cooperatively with team members and contribute to a positive team environment.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Store Manager.
