About The Position
This role performs several duties pertaining to fuel systems integrity testing. Primarily, it involves completing petroleum support work orders and jobs at retail, commercial, and private fueling facilities. The position requires sharing results of testing and correction procedures with company partners and customers with speed and accuracy. Travel is expected in this role, with Compliance Technicians traveling 2-3 weeks per month and being home on the weekends. Hotels and a generous per diem are provided.
Requirements
- Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen
- Possess a clean driving record
- Physical capability: lifting 10-50lbs, kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing
- Independent work ability
- Effective communication skills
- Basic technology knowledge for documentation
Nice To Haves
- Mechanical background
- Experience with hand tools
- Experience in trades or industrial/commercial settings
Responsibilities
- Prepping the site for testing
- Setting up testing and safety equipment
- Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access
- Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle
- Performs a variety of fuel containment tests, equipment integrity tests, and leak-detection tests to detect leaks or to prevent future leaks due to non-compliance or equipment failure.
