The Fuel Analyst is responsible for managing and overseeing daily fuel transaction activity, utilizing company software to identify discrepancies, and providing analytical data through databases, spreadsheets, and BI tools. This role involves managing fuel purchase optimizer software, creating reports for decision-making, managing fuel accounting databases, and compiling daily bulk pricing. The analyst will also oversee and approve weekly fuel and equipment invoices, collect and report fuel tax exceptions, and prepare presentations on fuel procurement. Additionally, the position requires interpreting contract provisions related to rates, billing, and performance, and maintaining cost control awareness by reporting opportunities for improvement in driver productivity. Handling urgent situations professionally is also a key aspect of this role.
