This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 5 years engineering experience - OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of engineering experience (for Principal Test Conductor)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 8 years engineering experience - OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 6 years of engineering experience (for Sr Principal Test Conductor)
- Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
- Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
- Prior Flight Test Control Room qualification
- Ability to obtain / maintain FAA Class III Medical
- Must be willing and able to support extended / off nominal Flight Test Execution campaigns, to include occasional second / third shift, weekends, and business travel.
- Clear and concise communication style for management of Safety of Flight and Safety of Test parameters
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.
Nice To Haves
- FAA Private Pilot or higher certification
- Existing Program Access
- Prior Test Conductor qualification
- Mission Systems flight test experience
- Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of 8210 Program processes
Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility to Plan, coordinate, and execute a safe and effective Mission Systems flight test as in-flight Test Conductor
- Flight Test card generation and execution to support program cost and schedule
- Management of flight test requirements and associated metrics
- Develops and executes pre/post-flight mission briefings and post-flight reporting
- Coordination with multiple customer organizations to develop Detailed Test Plans
