About The Position
Provide direct care to resident and ensure that the needs of each resident are met in accordance with all laws, regulations and standards of the Luther Ridge, a subsidiary of Ascentria Care Alliance. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant with current State certification required.
- Ability to bathe and dress residents.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care utilizing established standard procedures.
- Assist residents with medication checks and reminders. Report any medication issues to the nurse.
- Responsible for reporting any unusual resident signs and symptoms to nurse in charge.
- Complete and document assigned temps and weights of residents.
- Accurately document on resident flow sheet each shift.
- Make safety rounds at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Serve meal trays/monitor dining areas during mealtimes.
- Be aware of and promote Resident’s Rights and Quality of Life issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Complete extra assignments to keep the facility clean and orderly.
- Attend appropriate meetings, in-service programs and yearly mandatory educational programs.
- Fulfill in-service requirement to maintain certification as a nursing assistant.
