About The Position

Under the direction of the Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) Manager, the FSQR Technician performs food safety and quality verification activities and supports procedures that help maintain FSQR compliance throughout the facility. The role includes work in both the office and on the plant floor, as well as collaboration with other departments and FSQR technicians across shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Experience with an ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
• Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Must be coachable and customer focused.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food science, chemistry, or a related field.
• PCQI, HACCP, or SQF certification.
• Experience with Sage X3.

Responsibilities

• Perform food safety, quality, and safety checks throughout the plant, including pre-operational and operational sanitation inspections.
• Verify and, as needed, edit or enter information into appropriate databases, including FSQR analytical data, HPP certifications, BOLS, billing, and pre-shipment reviews.
• Review, maintain, and organize records and files to support traceability.
• Work with internal and external customers on product releases, notifications, and paperwork non-compliances.
• Perform daily line checks and check the production floor.
• Complete QA lab opening and closing activities in collaboration with the first- and second-shift FSQR Technicians.
• Collaborate with other plant departments as necessary to complete tasks and support the growth of FSQR initiatives throughout the facility.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Manager.
