About The Position

This position is responsible for performing physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems, documenting, and calculating results accurately; taking corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product) and report results to management; any additional assignments requested. All team members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. This position can work in a hot, humid environment or cold, damp environment and slippery surfaces.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 1-year experience in the Fresh Meats industry required or other QA type experience preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to complete Tyson paperwork
Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce
Good problem identification and problem-solving skills
Math and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret product specifications
Ability to function well under stress
Flexibility to work where and when needed
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
