About The Position

This position is responsible for the direct supervision of the sanitation process, ensuring adherence to Tyson policy and pre-operational inspection. The role involves completing and maintaining accurate records as required by the HACCP & FSQA program, organizing and directing work, and meeting departmental requirements. The FSQA Technician Lead will review production and QA paperwork for completeness, correct potential SSOP issues, and serve as the primary contact for USDA when FSQA management is not present. This role is responsible for addressing USDA/Food Safety issues and USDA requests for documentation. The Lead provides guidance when a supervisor is not present and is required to fill in where needed. Responsibilities also include inventory of departmental supplies and other duties as assigned by the QA Supervisor and/or QA Manager. This position can work in a hot, humid environment or a cold, damp environment with slippery surfaces.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years QA experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills.
  • Must function well under pressure.
  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed.
  • Position involves heavy lifting (70 lbs. or more).
  • 6 attendance points are disqualifying.
  • Any suspension on record for the last 12 months is disqualifying.

Responsibilities
