About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and plant systems. Your key responsibilities will include performing thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and calculating inspection results, reporting findings to management, proactively taking corrective actions, collaborating with the team for continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards, and taking on additional tasks to contribute to the overall success of operations.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a FSQA role preferred or other QA type experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Solid math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to interact with USDA and other points of contact.

Responsibilities

Perform thorough physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Accurately document and calculate inspection results and report findings to management.
Proactively take corrective actions by alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products.
Work closely with the team and management to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
Take on additional tasks that come your way, contributing to the overall success of operations.
