About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician 5, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of product quality and plant systems. Your key responsibilities will include conducting physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems, documenting and reporting findings, taking corrective actions, collaborating with team and management for continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards, and taking on additional assignments as needed.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a FSQA role preferred or other QA type experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in completing Tyson paperwork.
• Leadership abilities to motivate the hourly workforce.
• Strong problem identification and problem-solving skills.
• Solid math and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
• Ability to function well under stress.
• Flexibility to work in various locations and schedules as needed.
• Position involves heavy lifting (40 lbs. or more). May include lifting, standing, and walking for long periods of time.
• Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough physical and visual inspections of our products and plant systems to ensure everything meets our high standards.
• Accurately document and calculate inspection results and report your findings to management.
• Proactively take corrective actions, when necessary, by alerting the appropriate personnel to adjust processes, and identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products.
• Work closely with your team and management to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
• Be ready to take on any additional tasks that come your way, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
