About The Position

Food Safety Quality Technicians monitor and provide quality checks and support production in day to day operations and to follow the established programs, policies and practices of company.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year in manufacturing environment
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic MS Office Programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Able to work and get along with co-workers

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with Quality Control Technician (seafood or other food)
  • HACCP experience or trained
  • Use of label program
  • GFSI standards BRC/SQF

Responsibilities

  • Check incoming and outgoing products.
  • Identify quality & condition of raw material and finished product.
  • Ensures that the product meets customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Alerts appropriate staff of questionable product quality in a timely manner.
  • Able to do basic math.
  • Follows and enforces employee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Performs tasks related to the HACCP programs, such as but not limited to; Metal detector and saw blade checks, Check labels, Enter data into Excel spreadsheets.
  • Other duties assigned by General Manager or Quality Assurance Manager.
