About The Position

The FSQA Supervisor ensures that the manufacturing facility produces safe and efficient food, follows HACCP and SSOP programs, and meets the high quality-assurance standards of our business partners. This is a full-time exempt position.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated two years supervisory or lead experience in a USDA regulated facility OR a bachelor’s degree and two years of leadership experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, to include professional oral and written communication, a team-focused approach, and the ability to model composure/make decisions in stressful situations.
  • Able to organize and coordinate work within schedule constraints and handle emergent requirements in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail: excellent organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident and experienced self-starter.
  • Competent experience in Microsoft Office 365 with an emphasis in Word, Excel, SharePoint & Planner applications, and comfortable learning and using new software/applications, as necessary.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check are required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, emphasis food science or closely related field
  • Prior experience working in an SQF Audited facility
  • Experience working in the food industry
  • Knowledge/work experience in poultry industry
  • Prior SAP user experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and leads a team of QA Techs to ensure accountability and compliance to all Food Safety & Quality programs, specifically pre-operational sanitation inspections.
  • Guides the team through internal audits and guide management on all Food Safety & HACCP related programs, including new team member training.
  • Helps investigate any internal food safety/quality issues reported during the shift.
  • Serves as a liaison to USDA communicating regularly on day-to-day functions and results of Supplier Foreign Material Supports.
  • Overseeing a team of about 15 team members.
  • Oversee/document training of these team members including personnel reviews.
  • Maintain inventory of scales and thermometers.
  • Maintain tracking of sanitation performance.
  • Other assigned shift responsibilities.
