Requirements

  • Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
  • Fast learner with proficiency in HRIS and talent management software.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
  • Strong analytical skills used to identify problems, gather data, and draw conclusions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and able to operate relevant software.
  • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, delegate when appropriate, and perform under pressure.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to travel as required.
  • Pre-employment background check, including Motor Vehicle Record screening every two years, with personal auto insurance coverage in accordance with company policy.
  • Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction of the FSQ Senior Technician and Supervisor each shift.
  • Report and document any non-conformances to Level 2 technicians or higher.
  • Perform finished product testing, accurately record data, and complete all relevant documentation.
  • Conduct food safety inspections within the production environment, including inter-batch cleaning verifications.
  • Conduct quality audits on batching and packaging to ensure specifications are met.
  • Perform daily GMP and SSOP inspections.
  • Complete weekly and monthly assigned tasks.
  • Conduct second-day testing and raw material inspections, including data entry.
  • Manage and organize finished product retails.
  • Communicate raw material issues to the team.
  • Raw material testing and analysis.
  • Managing raw material holds.
  • Calibrating laboratory equipment.
  • Investigating nonconforming raw materials, creating and submitting NCRs.
  • Preparing inspection activities.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory instruments.
  • Inspecting finished products for food safety hazards, including foreign materials.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and honestly.
  • Follow all company GMPs, SOPs, and safety policies.
  • Enforce allergen control programs and procedures.
  • Report suspicious activities or packages promptly.
  • If monitoring Critical Control Points (CCPs), be trained in HACCP principles and adhere to approved plans.
