Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
  • Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4-6 years)
  • Proven track record of working independently in a laboratory environment, preferably with experience focused on oligonucleotide or nucleic acid drug products.
  • Foundational knowledge of pharmaceutical science, with a strong focus on solutions and colloids.
  • Solid understanding of spectroscopic, rheologic, and calorimetric analytical techniques.
  • Strong experimental execution and advanced data interpretation skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate seamlessly in a fast-paced team setting.
  • Enthusiasm for problem-solving and innovation in formulation development.

Responsibilities

  • Independently prepare drug products and novel formulations utilizing a variety of different compositions.
  • Independently analyze formulations using a diverse suite of analytical techniques (including spectroscopy, rheology, chromatography, calorimetry, light scattering, and physicochemical property measurements) to assess structure, composition, and physicochemical properties.
  • Review and process experimental data, identify key trends and takeaways, and propose hypothesis-driven follow-up experiments.
  • Conduct literature research to interpret experimental results and guide development.
  • Present research findings and deliver technical recommendations to cross-functional teams within the Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutics group.
