About The Position

Our Fryers are the first step in bringing fresh, delicious donuts to our customers every day. In this role, you'll mix, cut, and fry donuts to order, working at a fast pace and taking pride in a consistent, quality product. If you are a self-starter who works well independently, takes pride in doing things right, and enjoys being part of a hardworking bakery team, we'd love to have you on board.

Requirements

• Follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions with attention to detail
• Perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, and count and record accurately
• Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated directions and communicate supply needs orally or in writing
• Work at a fast pace independently with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent experience required

Nice To Haves

• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers with a smile and making every interaction a positive one
• Mix, cut, and fry donuts to be sold to customers
• Review special orders and prepare them as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area throughout your shift
• Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to customers who call
• Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required
• Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene, dress standards, and all Hy-Vee policies and store guidelines
• Report to work when scheduled and on time
