About The Position

The Fryer Operator is responsible for ensuring the fryer is supplied with the correct pellets, applying specified seasoning percentages, and maintaining an adequate product supply for packaging. This role involves daily preparation of the fryer, monitoring oil temperature and dwell time, managing pellet and seasoning usage, and maintaining accurate production records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Forklift Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare fryer for the day, including installing screens and filling oil.
  • Fill pellet hoppers.
  • Maintain proper oil temperature and dwell time.
  • Use the correct blend of pellets for Bulk Density.
  • Run necessary amounts of pellets through augers and into the fryer.
  • Season the proper amount of pork rinds.
  • Ensure all packaging machines are full of product.
  • Manage product overflow containers.
  • Check bulk density every hour.
  • Keep track of all pallets/boxes of pellets and bags of seasoning used for record keeping.
  • Scan items in E21 and keep accurate records.
  • Keep the floor cleaned up and perform other required cleaning duties.
  • Unload pellet shipments and maintain inventory counts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures.
  • Adhere to all Food Safety regulations.
  • Wear proper PPE, including hearing protection.
  • Follow all common employee safety practices.
